The old town of Madremanya is located on a hill and it is full of narrow streets, old houses and small squares that show us its antiquity through architectural and decorative elements from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Going through the two portals of the wall (either the west portal, on Sant Esteve Street, or the north portal, in the Quatre Vents square) is entering in its history.
Dominating the walled medieval enclosure, we find the Sant Esteve de Madremanya church, of late Romanesque style and which was built around 1.300. It consists of a single large nave crowned by a semicircular apse. A place, where it worth getting lost for a while.
