The village of Madremanya with an area of about 14 km² and which does not reach the 300 inhabitants, is a small rural town of the Gironès which keeps the charm of the medieval villages of the Empordanet.
The old quarter rises on a hill dominated by the fortified church of Sant Esteve of medieval origin. The center of the village, which is walled, is full of narrow streets, old houses and small squares. A set of narrow stone streets take us to another period.
In addition Madremanya is located in a privileged place in the middle of the Gavarres. It is a setting that invites you to walk or cycle, since there are several paths that will lead you to discover places such as the Millars castle or a route that ascends to Els Àngels sanctuary.
