Girona is the capital of the Gironès region and the Girona province. It has a surface of 40km2 and a bit more of 100.000 inhabitants. If you visit the city, you will be able to calmly discover the historic city and visit its museums and monuments and stroll around easily for its streets and squares to enjoy its tourist services, cultural offer, festivals, restaurants, cafes…
The historic city is one of the most interesting of Catalunya and it allows the visitor to discover more than 2000 years of history. You will be marveled with the medieval charm that emerges from its monuments, buildings, museums…We recommend the golden triangle that includes the Jewish quarter the cathedral and the Arabic Baths. You can start your visit crossing one of the many bridges over the Onyar River and let you be surprised by that beauty of the painted houses over the river. You will find many tourists and familiar activities at the different museums of Girona such as the Cinema Museum, The Museum of Jewish History, the Museum of History of Girona, the Museum of Art, the Archeological Museum, The Treasure of the Cathedral or the House-Museum of Rafael Masó.
Very close to the city center you will find a huge amount of natural resources. You will see different rivers, Mediterranean forests, mountains such as the Gavarres, the Sant Daniel valley, fields and in general a landscape that has been able to intertwine urban growth with the preservation of the natural environment.
Come and visit the city any time of the year and if possible come more than once the city is alive and it has many surprises to offer!
