The municipality of Bescanó is located on the right bank of the River Ter. Its name means river and stone. With almost 5000 inhabitants and an area of 39.5km² the municipality of Bescanó which also includes Estanyol, Montfullà and Vilanna, has a Mediterranean landscape.

Altogether with its closeness to the eastern part of the Guilleries range, its rural environment,  fertile fields,  thick woods and its proximity to Girona, it makes of Bescanó the perfect place to visit and connect with nature through its paths and special places to visit such as the Volcano of La Crosa or the Island of La Pilastra where you will be able to observe the endemic fauna and flora.
