Aiguaviva is located in the westerner part of the Gironès region. It covers an area of 14km2 and it has almost 800 inhabitants. The origin of its name means “water that moves, that flows”. It’s a very well connected town thank to its great location and its closeness to the main roads and transport services.
It is a quite flat village sourced by the waters of the river Güell and surrounded with little hills, fields and woods of cork oaks and pines. Its inhabitants have traditionally been dedicated to agriculture and livestock.
Sant Joan’s church stands out in the old town. In the surroundings you can find the old church of Vilademany, the House of Templars and the Crosa volcano.
